About a trip gone wrong in Paris...I still love Paris, though :)

Early spring we back our bags, left NY and flew across to France
Went there with another couple hoping for a few days of romance
On our flight we dreamt of Paris and the architecture we would see
Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Jardin de Tuileries

But as soon as we arrived our plans turned out all wrong
Paris, France just left us in the cold

And we were….pissed off in Paris
As we came in from the airport our driver tried to overcharge us for the lengthy trip
And the lovely weather we had read about was nowhere to be found

Actually the trip had started fine near the district of Marais
Lovin virtually every crepe and practicing our Est-qe vous avez
But once we went to rent a car our good ideas went suddenly astray
Between the lousy service reps and GPS we lost a fuckin day

Yes, by then our good intentions had turned out all wrong
Paris, France just left us in the cold

And we were….pissed off in Paris
As we came in from the airport our driver tried to overcharge us for the lengthy trip
And the lovely weather we had read about was nowhere to be found

Even rained out in Versailles
Forget the gardens no shot we’d even try
And by the end all we could do was shout and wonder why

And we were….pissed off in Paris
As the final coup de grace our friend was throwing up his guts all day
His steak had made him sick
And the lovely weather we had read about was nowhere to be found
